On-The-Go Breakfast - Dunkin’s New Breakfast Bowls

Forgot your breakfast at home when rushing out the house?  If so, take a look at the DD Smart Menu at Dunkin’ which offers some healthier options when on-the-go.  You can try the Veggie Egg White, Egg & Cheese, or Ham, Egg & Cheese all on an English Muffin. If you want to reduce the carbohydrates, you can choose to eat only ½ of the English Muffin.  Another option would be any of the Wake-Up Wraps. All of these choices are under 400 calories.

At participating stores, you may see their newer Power Breakfast Sandwich which features a veggie egg white omelet with spinach, peppers and onions, topped with turkey sausage and American cheese and served on a thin seeded multigrain sandwich bread.   This sandwich provides 370 calories and 24gm of protein and would be an excellent choice if it’s an option.

Most recently, Dunkin’ has introduced their Dunkin’ Bowls which are available at participating Dunkin’ restaurants for a limited time only.   The Egg White Bowl made with egg whites, spinach, cheddar cheese, roasted potatoes, and caramelized onions provides 250 calories and 14gm of protein.  The other option is the Sausage Scramble Bowl made with scrambled eggs, melted cheddar Jack cheese, sausage, peppers, and onions. This bowl however has 450 calories and 21gm protein.   Unfortunately, Dunkin’ has only provided the calories and protein so we don’t have any other nutrition facts available at this time. I would recommend choosing the Egg White Bowl over the Sausage Scramble if you’re looking for a lower calorie meal.
