GASTRIC SLEEVE SURGERY

I cannot begin to tell you how happy I am to have made the decision to have weight loss surgery. Probably one of the greatest decisions of my life. I have struggled with my weight almost my entire life but things really got out of control these past 15 years -- losing my young husband, my mom and my dad within a 10 year span, and then starting a new career. I am an emotional eater and food was my balm. I had hypertension and a fatty liver and couldn't walk up a flight of stairs without getting dizzy. I was depressed and angry all of the time. I felt like I was dying.

I truly believe that my prayers were answered and that God put Dr. Thomas and New Jersey Bariatric Center in my path. They took my hand and guided me through the entire process. The coordinators were always a call away. My nutritionist, Clarissa, rocks! We speak often and I know that I can reach out to her whenever I need advice or guidance.

At 56 years old, I am alive again. I enjoy doing things and going outside, hiking, spending time with people, and having my picture taken. I am 68 pounds down, with a goal of losing 32 more and I’m still on the path to health and so very grateful. I feel better than I have in years! My kids are happy. They are glad Mom finally did something for herself. I really cannot find the words to express my delight and true blessings I feel. Thank you so much, Dr. Thomas and the entire team! I only wish I did this sooner! It is my hope that my story gives someone else the push they need to have weight loss surgery -- it is so worth it!
