I was an overweight child, teen and adult. I feel like I spent my whole life trying to lose weight. Before considering revision surgery and losing 70 pounds I tried different diet plans like Jenny Craig, Weight Watchers and the Atkins diet. 

For as long as I can remember I was always so unhappy struggling with my weight. I had lost a lot of family members to health issues and I knew that losing the weight would help me live a happier and healthier life. 

I had a gastric bypass surgery in 2002 at a different hospital with another doctor. It resulted with me losing 124 lbs and I was happy with the transformation. However, several years later,  I started gaining weight back and felt like something was wrong. That’s when I decided to call New Jersey Bariatric Center to see if they could help. Doctor Goyal and his staff helped me by offering revision surgery. After my healing process I was able to start my journey again. I continued with my visits over the years and have been very happy with my experience. 

The revision surgery was life changing for me. It provided me with a more permanent tool that helped me get control over my weight and be able to keep the weight off. Not only did it give me the support that I needed, it also gave me the confidence to succeed!

Being able to count on the doctors and staff for support really helped. I have been a patient for several years and I have always had a positive experience . They always make me feel comfortable. Knowing I have a monthly appointment really helps to keep me on track. 

I am so much more active now and have much more energy. I’m healthier and happier! My self-esteem has skyrocketed and I love buying clothes and taking pictures with my family and friends. I feel like a new person.

I have recommended NJBC to several people in my life. I truly believe it will be the greatest decision that they can make. Once they are willing to put the hard work in, it will pay off. This experience has given me a new lease on life.
