GASTRIC SLEEVE SURGERY

I was overweight for pretty much my whole life. Since I was a teenager, I’d actively tried losing weight. As an adult I tried Jenny Craig, Slim Fast, Atkins, Monavie shakes, Weight Watchers and a few more that I’m probably forgetting. I tried every diet I could think of but none of them worked. My turning point was the death of my stepfather who was only in his early 60s. I didn’t want my mom to endure 2 losses so I knew I had to do something sustainable about my weight because another diet wasn’t the answer. It was then that I made the decision to have weight loss surgery. Dr. Goyal and the team at New Jersey Bariatric Center have been great. The nutritionists have been super supportive and helpful and I still turn to them for advice even now.

Now, I’m really active -- running, bike riding and more. I’m up for any challenge. I’ve gained so much confidence in myself and it's evident in my work life. I’ve even gained confidence to put myself out there and go on dates. Since my weight loss I love that I can now match who I was on the inside the whole time. I would absolutely recommend the great doctors and staff at New Jersey Bariatric Center. Their support means a lot to me and I love the extras provided like Tuesday Talks support group meetings and virtual yoga classes.
