Being a busy Mom of 2 young kids, I am usually on the go a lot – whether it’s outside at the park or even just running after them in my backyard. When I’m hungry, finding a quick and healthy snack can be challenging.
As you know, grocery store aisles are filled with enticing packaging and lots of unhealthy choices. Knowing what to look for when reading nutrition labels can help determine the best options. Recently, I took a trip to my local grocery store in search of a healthy, nutritious and quick snack. I found this – Country Archer Rosemary Turkey Jerky.
It’s a good “bang for your buck” snack with only 70 calories, 9 grams of protein, and 0 grams of carbohydrates. It does have 410 mg of sodium so if you need to watch your sodium intake due to high blood pressure or cardiovascular disease, I wouldn’t recommend these. But otherwise, these make great snacks for any pre or post bariatric surgery patient, medical weight loss patient and a busy mom on the go.
